Welcome to Education Futures......

So far so good! Our first introduction lesson has begun well. I think I am going to enjoy this module, especially the trip to London!!!
We have looked at the importance of learning environments and answered questions upon our thoughts on the topic:

What is a learning environment?

Where do people go to learn? What do those places look like?

How does the arrangement of a learning space contribute to—or detract from—the task of education?

So how important is the learning environment?

- Anywhere that learning can take place. Anywhere that allows you to gain knowledge and information which you may not have already known.
- Schools/colleges/universities, muesums, libraries, into the environment etc.. people can choose to learn anywhere they wish. All of these places look different from each other. There is no specific way for a learning environment to look.
- Colourful, spacious environments encourage people to learn. Having the wrong learning conditons can detract from education. Dull, boring spaces may not encourage learning.
- The learning environment is highly important for learning and for an individuals development.

We have discussed amongst the class what our ideas are and what we personally think make a positive learning environment. I personally believe that many factors can contribute to a positive or negative learning environment. Some of these factors include: the space of the environment, what it is that is actually being taught, the temperature (too hot/cold), whether the individual is tired or hungry, the way in which we prefer to learn as individuals (kinesthetic, visual, auditory).

Within the module we will be looking at animation, technology of the furure, camera-less animation and much more!!
